*Not a Newsletter is a weekly passion project by Tim Finch that prioritizes information, ideas and creative endeavors. Each post will consist of a few of my own thoughts, a conversation starter, some visual inspiration and a call to action.

✏️ Words from me
Hey, how are you?
I wrote up something for today and I trashed it. There was nothing inherently wrong with what I wrote. Nobody would've noticed. But. It didn't feel right.
So, here we are. I've been confronting myself with the idea that it's okay to start over, say no, stop, etc. It's a rough one. I often find myself putting unnecessary expectations on myself when it comes to work or life. Fortunately, nobody dies if I don't release this newsletter.
Pride can (often does) trick you into attaching doom to your actions-or lack thereof. There are way more important things out there. So many things, that I made a list:
Responding to your parents (if they're chill)
Not over-watering your plants
The feeling you got when you first heard your favorite song
Make your own list, it'll help with the pride-or it'll give you some things to be grateful for.
🤳🏾 Let's chat
What's your 5 perfect movies? I always love seeing the answers to this question. Mine are (in no particular order) :
The Social Network
Scott Pilgrim vs the World
2001: A Space Odyssey
I recently came across this video by Vox titled: The global coffee crisis is coming please check it out if you have time. And especially if coffee is something you regularly consume.
🔍 This is cool
Alex Wallbaum - recently my friends and studio-mates collab'd on creating a website for Alex that is unapologetically... Alex. Designed by the super-talented Kate Doyle and Logotype Design by Evan Sheehan.
That's all you need to know. I'll take everything from here. But, before you go. I'm sure you've noticed that I've switched from Mailchimp to Substack. This n̶e̶w̶s̶l̶e̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ will always be 100% free, but I now have options for paid subscriptions that include some special perks that include a special project I've been working on called *Command-K.
